Star Trek - Romulan War & Pre TOS era
There is a small group of modellers and renderers on the net who specialise on creating starships from the Star Trek series from the timeline of the Original Series and before - the desire is to create ships that follow the simplistic designs of that era in the show - yet still have a greater quality and amount of detail without it being overbearing
As such this is an enjoyable sideline when there is nothing else on work wise - as these ships are quite simplistic in nature from a modeling aspect with all the detail being enhanced by texturing - the meshes also look good in renders and have the added advantage that they render quicker also! ;o) -

This mesh took 1 week to complete - her simplistic look belies the amount of detail there is there till you get right up close.
The mesh features 14 additional registry sets which are created as objects so that users can have whole fleets in their renders! ;o)
